ANDERS TEGNELL
During the pandemic, my wife and I went for a walk every day while working from home. Then we stood in the kitchen cooking lunch while watching the Public Health Agency’s press conferences. “Just imagine when this is over — what a story Tegnell will have to tell as a speaker,” I said to Nicole early on.
When the pandemic was over, I called Anders, and now I have overall responsibility for helping him tell his story on stages around the world.
“It’s too early to say what works — we’ll only know in a few years,” was repeated like a mantra by Anders during the pandemic. Now a few years have passed. What was it like to go from being an anonymous civil servant to appearing daily in global media during one of the greatest crises of modern times? Was it Sweden and Tegnell — or was it the rest of the world that had gone crazy?
Everyone had an opinion about Anders. Some people wished him dead, while others tattooed his face on their bodies. How do you relate to that? How did things turn out when the pandemic was over? What worked? What does the data show? Who were the ones that were crazy? And how is humanity doing after all of this?
Most importantly: how can the world handle the next pandemic in a better way? The only thing we know for certain is exactly that — there will always be another pandemic.
Listen as Anders reflects very personally on these questions and many others. In just under an hour, you’ll be taken on a truly unique, fast-paced journey filled with insights that will fascinate.
